Entomophobia
Made for the 2020 olc::BeatTheBoredom Game Jam.
You play as Bob the Wizard who has entomophobia and want to take out as many bugs as he can. A retro styled shooter with two stages.
Controls type A:
WASD to move
J to shoot
K to strafe
Controls type B:
Arrow keys to move
Z to shoot
X to strafe
ESC to pause
F1 to toggle fullscreen

Install instructions
Download and extract the zip file. Run Entomophobia.exe to play.

Hi...a nice shooting game! The background music ls nice, too! The same problem: "strafe" keys don't work.
Any suggestion? Yes! I hear that AppGameKit is a very useful tool. I look forward to more interesting games. Sure!
Hi. Thanks for the comment. I'm not sure why the strafe key don't work. I've not been able to replicate the bug on any of my computers.
Since this game was made for a game jam almost two years ago, I don't have much time to look into it.
Entertaining. Although the "strafe" never worked for me.
That's weird. Maybe there is a limit to how many key that can be pressed simultaneous on your keyboard?
The music is really good, and the shooting sound seems to blend in really well with it.
Good game, I'm not the best at endless shooters so I didn't get very far. I found the tracking bugs hard to deal with as I couldn't run away and shoot back at them very well.

I didn't have much time to balance the game so I guess it can be difficult if you don't know where and when the enemies will appear. If you start missing the tracking bugs you're pretty much done for.
